The Squid Game phenom makes history- can it give Succession a run for its money?

'Succession,' 'Ted Lasso' and 'The White Lotus' Are 2022 Emmy Frontrunners

The Squid Game phenom makes history- can it give Succession a run for its money?

The Emmy nominations are here! So much stuff! And so many people from a relative handful of shows. Let’s see what to note here- in drama, Succession leads the way with 25 nominations and 14 acting nominations, which breaks the old record set by The West Wing, which once got 12. I don’t see anything taking that one down, but Squid Game and Severance (yay!) are in second place with 14 noms each, Squid Game making history as the first non-English language series ever to be nominated. Also notable is the success of Yellowjackets (didn’t see that coming) and Euphoria breaking through big time in its second season. And Rhea Seehorn finally got in for Better Call Saul! Woo-hoo!
