This remind anyone else of True Grit? The plot is familiar (I feel like the “guy adopts a missing child to take her home” has been seen quite a lot over the years), but with Hanks re-teaming with his Captain Phillips director Paul Greengrass (is there a meta joke about that in this trailer, by the way?) it looks like it could be pretty good. Supposedly Universal is committed to releasing this at Christmas, and with New York and LA movie theaters finally being allowed to open at 25% capacity, I guess it’s possible this happens. Who knows how many people will actually go though, with cases now rising and the dreaded predictions of a deadly fall/winter looming right around the corner. I know I’m not going back to the movies anytime soon, sadly, 25% full or not.
