Cloris Leachman, comedy legend, has passed at the age of 94. Her career spanned some 70 years and after winning an Oscar for her breakout role in 1971’s The Last Picture Show, she went on to become the most nominated actress in Emmy history, with countless memorable television roles and appearances. Besides The Last Picture Show, her most famous film roles included Mel Brooks’ Young Frankenstein and History of the World Part I, and she then went on to co-star as Phyllis Lindstrom on The Mary Tyler Moore Show, which led to the spinoff series Phyllis in 1975, and won an Emmy for one of many guest appearances on Malcom in the Middle in the early 2000’s. She was inducted into the TV Academy Hall of Fame in 2011.
