I know everyone thinks this looks cool, but I can’t tell if that’s just because literally anything would look cool if it’s set to “White Rabbit.” I mean, come on. Overall it’s leaning heavily on nostalgia but I can’t say that doesn’t entirely work, as watching this trailer certainly brought back all those Matrix memories (the first one was a flashpoint movie for so many people). I do think Keanu could have least changed his haircut and shaved his John Wick beard for this. Oh, and I assume there must be a pretty good plot reason that Laurence Fishburne was not invited back to reprise his role as Morpheus, right? It’s coming out Dec 22nd in theaters and on HBO Max.
