This film about the horrifying murder of Emmett Till in 1955 focuses in on the ordeal of Mamie Till, his mother played by Danielle Deadwyler (Station Eleven) in what’s said to be a harrowing performance. It premiered at the New York Film Festival just yesterday, with reviews not in yet, but most are expecting Deadwyler to gain a lot of attention for this.
