The road to Oscar starts here

'Everything Everywhere' is the Big Winner at the Gotham Awards

The road to Oscar starts here

Well, here it is. Is it the beginning of a long, triumphant awards season for Everything Everywhere All at Once? I wouldn’t normally say that just because something wins Best Feature at the Gotham awards, it’s going to go straight on to Best Picture, but given the general consensus around this movie from both critics and a certain section of the public (it’s one of the few box office success stories of the year, at least from a limited audience perspective), I can definitely see it. I don’t love the movie, so if this is the case, it’s going to be a long season for me personally, but oh well. I’m glad Happening and Aftersun won something here too.
