In David O. Russell’s first film since 2015’s Joy, he assembles another all star cast for what looks like a wacky period comedy (American Hustle in the 1930’s?) and frankly it doesn’t look that great. Getting kind of tired of seeing Margot Robbie in everything, to be honest. Also it just seems in line with his more recent movies where people are shouting all the time and not much is really happening under the surface. But Christian Bale is usually entertaining in a Russell movie. This one comes out in November.
