Not a lot of surprise choices in this list of the best shows of the year from the AFI, but I can't agree on the placement of HBO's The Night Of. That one started off stunningly well and ended hugely disappointing. Everything else is aces, though. At least the ones I've seen, which is all but The Crown (need to get started on that one) and This is Us (NBC is basically dead to me, so I don't know if I'll ever watch anything on that network ever again. At least not until they cancel The Apprentice).
