Well, it looks like the director of Moonlight and If Beale Street Could Talk, alright. This is another novel that I read and liked a lot, now being adapted into a limited series for Amazon, coming out May 14th. Barry Jenkins’s films are more impressionistic than literal, and his adaptation of this book looks very much in that vein. Looking forward to seeing it.
