Critics Choice TV Nominations Anoint New Favorites for 2022

Reservation Dogs get some much deserved love for its great second season and its great cast of young actors

There are a lot of new nominees in here, from Andor to Bad Sisters and many of the actors from Reservation Dogs (yay!). I will never fault the TV critics for not paying attention to things flying under the radar that deserve to be spotlighted. Also yay for Harley Quinn getting a nomination in animated series. Interestingly, The Crown seems to have fallen out of favor except in Drama Series, with not a single actor from the new cast nominated. They went with House of Dragon over LOTR in the battle of the fantasy shows for the most part, and what’s with Prey and the Weird Al movie being called movies made for television? Are they? I’m thinking we need to rethink the name of that whole category. If a movie is not released in theaters but comes out on a streaming service, it’s not really a TV movie, is it?
