Jennifer Coolidge gave the best speech of the night, but a lot of other winners weren’t there
The TV side of the Globes didn’t want to do anything too unexpected it appears. Except for that House of Dragon win which seemingly came out of nowhere. They didn’t even nominate the actors on that show, and the Globes never pick a show that doesn’t have multiple nominations. Plus they never even liked Game of Thrones. That one’s a headscratcher. The others were more predictable, as the newbies who won were mostly from shows that did well too, like Abbott and White Lotus. Actually, the Globes seemed to go with Emmy favorites here, like Amanda Seyfried, Zendaya, Julia Garner and Jennifer Coolidge. That’s weird too, and not very Globes-like, who always tended to do their own thing with TV in the past. Hmm.
