Could this be the start of an awards sweep for Renee? Olivia Colman began her run with this very same award last year for The Favourite. That’s probably the most significant winner from this group, which is the first awards body to give out their prizes. The British independent film For Sama seemed to be the favorite with them, but The Personal History of David Copperfield also did well (even though it doesn’t release in the UK until January, and even longer before we get to see it here).
