Acting legend Anthony Hopkins won the BAFTA for his greatest ever performance in The Father

I will definitely be using this list of BAFTA winners to predict many of the Oscar tech awards, that’s for sure, as I think most of them are likely to be the same. Nomadland triumphed with Picture, Director, Cinematography and Actress, continuing our chaos in the Best Actress race, as a different person has now won every single precursor. But Anthony Hopkins beating Chadwick Boseman in Best Actor was a surprise, as was The Father winning screenplay- one of those could repeat at the Oscars I think.
