Whether or not you believe her as a firefighter (not), It’s been a long time since Angelina Jolie did a non-Maleficent role, and this looks like a throwback to one of those generic action thrillers of the 90’s or 00’s. Taylor Sheridan was the writer of Sicario, Hell or High Water and the creator of Yellowstone on TV, but he’s directing this one. Even though it doesn’t look that interesting, it says something about the state of affairs in movies that the trailer for a non-franchise big studio original action movie stands out for being just that. I wish it didn’t.
