Elvis seems to have the edge in the costume race
Tonight the Costume Designers Guild awards happened, and here were the results:
2023 CDG WINNERS
Period Film: Elvis
Sci-Fi/Fantasy: Everything Everywhere All at Once
Contemporary: Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery
I think this solidifies Elvis for the win in costumes, which also won the BAFTA. But EEAO is a heavy guild winner, that’s for sure. In other news, the Visual Effects Society awards happened on Feb 15th and I missed it, so I’m reporting now that the winner was Avatar: The Way of Water, which already had that Oscar on lockdown if anything ever did.
