1917’s cinematography has been universally praised to the skies
The American Society of Cinematographers is the cinematography guild, and they usually match the Oscar nominees at least 4/5, sometimes 5/5. So expect these movies to be the cinematography nominees in a couple weeks (the Academy members started voting on nominations yesterday). Everyone seems to think the legendary Roger Deakins has this one in the bag for 1917.
