'Parasite' Wins Best Picture from National Society of Film Critics

Parasite’s momentum surges

Parasite’s momentum surges

Parasite still picking up steam ahead of the Golden Globes on Sunday. The NSFC is the last major critics group to award prizes, and even though they obviously loved Parasite, they quite clearly and embarrassingly gave their best director award to Greta Gerwig, which looks even worse when you see that Bong Joon-ho and Martin Scorsese were the runners-up. Yeah, Little Women is not a better directed movie than Parasite or The Irishman. This is an attempt to make sure a woman directed movie gets into the Oscar race somehow, in the face of Golden Globes and SAG shutouts for Little Women (as if no other movies directed by women were better than that one this year- newsflash, they were. See The Nightingale).
