Can Borat 2 get an Oscar nomination for Best Picture?
The only surprise in today’s PGA list of nominees is the Borat sequel, which may or may not (probably not) get in at the Oscars next week. But hey, maybe I’m wrong. If it does get in, maybe this hints that Maria Bakalova still has a chance in supporting actress after all. The omission of News of the World is bad for that film, but there’s still a chance, since the list usually doesn’t match 100% with Oscar. The DGA announces its nominees tomorrow.
