The Scripter nominations are here! Usually a good bellwether for the adapted screenplay Oscar, this prize honors the best screenplays of the year and their source material. All of the honorees this year were based on novels except for the Shakespeare adaptation. The real surprise snub here was West Side Story, which was written by Tony Kushner and you’d think would have been a lock.
