More guild noms today, as the Motion Picture Sound Editors guild weighed in with nominations in their major categories for Dune, Nightmare Alley, The Power of the Dog and others. There’s a lot of movies nominated here, but the absence of Belfast is significant I suppose.

Guillermo del Toro’s Nightmare Alley is expected to do very well with techs, could possibly land one of the final Best Picture slots
Meanwhile, the Art Directors guild showed who they liked for production design, where Nightmare Alley was very strong and Macbeth again showing up. The Power of the Dog was snubbed here though, surprisingly. Also The Last Duel, which is tanking in the guilds so far, which makes me mad.
