'Cruella,' 'Cyrano' Get Into CDG Noms

Cyrano hasn’t gotten much attention this season, but the CDG liked its costumes at least

The Costume Designers Guild announced its nominations today and there weren’t a lot of surprises in here. They do have three different categories, so it can be tougher to predict which ones get into the Oscars, but they usually go for period fare, so that category is probably most important. Every once in a while something from the fantasy group will make it in along with the period stuff, but not as often from contemporary.
